My KVM FAQ's My KVM Can I use 'My KVM' for my four port KVM switch? Yes, but it is not recommended! My KVM software would only support switching between the first two ports. A four port model will not be listed on the configuration page so the hot-key command must be equivalent to the two port model if listed. Is there any hardware required for 'My KVM' software? My KVM requires a GSI-Key that authenticates your software installation. GSI-Key is a small device the size of your keyboard connector. Where the GSI-Key is embedded in KVM switches, and keyboards, the external key is not required. Why is the GSI-Key installed on keyboards. The Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) details models identified on the "Preference" dialog box for the most current version of the software.
