    • The high performance workplace coincides with process automation. Organizations can merge existing manual switch technology with automated switching control into their business process. Push computer control to users based on system events that come from sources external of the switch and server hardware.

    SLACi operates independent of switch hardware so advanced operations do not interference with embedded switching techniques. Local users retain full operation of keyboard hot-key commands and the on-screen-display (OSD) systems they currently use to switch between computer ports.

    Device integration combines multi-layer management so access and port selection of analog KVM ports using KVMoIP appliances are seamless to the user. Managed switch services are available for a diverse catalog of devices.     		Global Serv offers switch control from servers connected to the switches. Switching between ports can be executed from the desktop of computers connected to the KVM switch. A small client sends user selection data to SLACi for the central processing. Desktop clients can incorporate automation locally based on system wide user preferences.

    GSI tools establish a standard for managing access to different types, makes and models of remotely managed hardware devices. Many support switches include out-of-band connectivity for setup and administration. Global Serv consolidates management for the various types of devices, ports and users. Innovative management rules associate users, device ports, user events and business processes to deiver automated switching. SLACi includes several pre-defined switch models for quick configuration and immediate use.
